Seoul International Drama Awards Releases Statement Regarding Cancellation Of N.Flying's Yoo Hwe Seung's Stage
The Seoul International Drama Awards (SDA) has issued a statement regarding the sudden cancellation of N.Flying’s Yoo Hwe Seung’s congratulatory performance.
Previously, Seoul International Drama Awards 2024 announced congratulatory performances by ZEROBASEONE, NMIXX, and N.Flying’s Yoo Hwe Seung. However, during the broadcast, only NMIXX’s opening act and ZEROBASEONE’s closing performance for the first part of the awards ceremony were shown. Yoo Hwe Seung was reportedly waiting backstage but left without performing.
On September 26, the SDA committee said, “We apologize that N.Flying’s Yoo Hwe Seung was unable to perform at the Seoul International Drama Awards 2024 ceremony on September 25. Due to unexpected delays at the venue during the live broadcast, the performance could not take place after the first part of the ceremony.”
The committee also said, “We sincerely apologize to the artists who put in effort to prepare a great performance, as well as to the fans and viewers who were excited for the show.”
They continued, “Right after the live broadcast, we sincerely apologized to the artist and assured them that this won’t happen again. The organizing committee promises to prepare more thoroughly and do everything possible to prevent this from happening in the future.”
On the previous day, N.Flying announced on their official account, “We regret to inform you that the congratulatory performance for the SBS ‘Seoul International Drama Awards 2024’ scheduled for today has been canceled due to delays at the venue.” They added, “We apologize to the fans who were waiting and kindly ask for your understanding once again.”
