"Veteran" Sequel "I, The Executioner" Surpasses 6 Million Moviegoers
The film “I, the Executioner” (also known as “Veteran 2”) continues to break its own records at the Korean box office!
On September 27, the Korean Film Council announced that as of early that morning, “I, the Executioner” had officially reached a total of 6,022,843 moviegoers. This new milestone was achieved on the 15th day of the film’s release.
Previously, “I, the Executioner” reached 5 million moviegoers on its eighth day of release, which is faster than the original “Veteran” film (which took 10 days), as well as “Exhuma” (10 days), “The Roundup” (10 days), and “12.12: The Day” (14 days).
“Veteran” is a crime action film following a veteran investigation team pursuing an arrogant third-generation chaebol. The sequel “I, the Executioner” continues the story of detective Seo Do Chul (Hwang Jung Min) and his crime investigation team, now joined by detective Park Sun Woo (Jung Hae In).
