5 Fairy Tale-Like K-Dramas To Watch If You Miss "Cinderella At 2AM"
Fairy tales come in all shapes and sizes. Some are closer to the classic stories, while others try to give a little plot twist to spice things up. However you like it, these narratives have had a way of entering K-dramas and bringing some hilarious, romantic, and endearing shows. “Cinderella at 2AM” isn’t the first show, nor will it be the last, to portray a fairy tale that enchants drama fans with a love story like the one of Ha Yun Seo (Shin Hyun Been) and Seo Ju Won (Moon Sang Min), but if you are in dire need of watching a similar show, here are some excellent options to help you cope with it.
“Cinderella and Four Knights”
Who said Cinderella must be a hopeless girl who only waits for her fairy godmother or prince charming to change her destiny? Sometimes this princess can also be a tough, driven, and lovely woman. In “Cinderella and Four Knights” the female lead is exactly like that. More than a princess, she turns into a true musketeer, or a cavalier, ready to conquer a battlefield. Eun Ha Won (Park So Dam) is a young woman who wishes to turn her fate around with hard work, dreaming of having a happy and bright future. Even if her poor background and bad relationship with her father and stepmother make it almost impossible for her, she doesn’t lose hope and seizes every opportunity she gets to achieve her dreams.
One day, her best chance to reach her goal arrives when a rich man offers to pay for her education in exchange for one thing: to help him bring his grandsons Kang Ji Woon (Jung Il Woo), Kang Hyun Min (Ahn Jae Hyun), and Kang Seo Woo (Lee Jung Shin) together and live like a real family. There’s only one condition and that is she can never fall in love with any of them. At first, it seems like an easy mission for stubborn Ha Won. However, things get complicated when she meets the spoiled grandsons, who don’t make things any easier for her. Even worse, she can’t help but fall in love with Ji Woon, who has a mysterious connection to her in the past.

“Wedding Impossible”
Some modern fairy tales come with a fake marriage, or at least that’s the case in this K-drama. In order to achieve her long-time dream of becoming a successful actress, Na Ah Jeong (Jeon Jong Seo) accepts to be her best friend Lee Do Han’s (Kim Do Wan’s) fake wife as he hides a big secret from his family and desperately needs to get away from an arranged marriage. Though Ah Jeong isn’t exactly excited about lying to her family, she is willing to help her friend, following an easy and flowery path as a chaebol‘s wife, at least for as long as their agreement is valid.
However, the otherwise perfect plan for these friends gets frustrated by none other than Lee Ji Han (Moon Sang Min), Do Ha’s younger brother. Ji Han doesn’t buy the idea of their marriage even for a moment and is determined to prevent the wedding by all means necessary, even putting his own heart on the line. If you loved Moon Sang Min in “Cinderella at 2AM,” then you cannot miss this K-drama that will make it impossible for you to not fall in love with him and his charm.

“My Secret Romance”
One of the main points about Cinderella’s love story is that she and her prince fall for each other at first sight. But contrary to them, in “My Secret Romance,” rather than falling in love, Lee Yoo Mi (Song Ji Eun) and Cha Jin Wook (Sung Hoon) end up having a passionate one-night stand and part ways forever, or so they think. Although Yoo Mi doesn’t leave behind a glass shoe, her memory sticks to Jin Wook for a long time as he is unable to forget about her. And when they meet again three years later, this time as boss and employee, he decides to make her pay for it.
But the more he tries to make her life difficult, the more he can’t stop himself from being drawn to her. Even worse, the moment he thinks their affair had consequences, he is determined to bring her and his supposed son to his side. Despite having all kinds of clichés, with the typical misunderstandings and a predictable happy ending, this 2017 K-drama is definitely a hidden gem that will still bring you butterflies with the couple’s undeniable chemistry and cuteness.

Though her life isn’t ideal at all, she always tries to keep a positive mindset, never losing her smile and energy. Even when things get tough, she remembers the time she spent with her friend Hyun Woo, a sweet boy who showed her what true kindness means, hoping to meet him once again someday.
One day, she meets two men with two completely different personalities who remind her of her beloved friend. The former mobster Seo Ji Hwan (Um Tae Goo) and prosecutor Jang Hyun Woo (Kwon Yool).
