The upcoming KBS drama “Face Me” has shared a sneak peek of the script reading!
KBS2’s upcoming drama “Face Me” is a mystery thriller that follows the unlikely partnership between a cold plastic surgeon and a passionate MZ generation detective. Together, they delve into the truth behind crimes by utilizing reconstructive surgeries for the victims.
Director Jo Rok Hwan and writer Hwang Ye Jin were present at the script reading along with cast members Lee Min Ki, Han Ji Hyeon, Lee Yi Kyung, Jeon Bae Soo, Ha Young, Lee Seung Woo, Yoon Jeong Il, Yang So Min, Lee Jae Eun, and Choi Jung Un.
Lee Min Ki fully immersed himself in the role of the top-notch plastic surgeon Cha Jeong Woo, showcasing the character’s decisive demeanor and commanding presence.
Han Ji Hyeon delivered a standout performance as the passionate detective Lee Min Hyeong, perfectly embodying her character’s fiery spirit with intense line delivery. During the script reading, she showed remarkable emotional depth, tearing up as she connected with Lee Min Hyeong—a fearless ace detective celebrated for her honesty and empathy.
Lee Yi Kyung also impressed with his cheeky portrayal of Han Woo Jin, a plastic surgeon with a philanthropic nature. His expressive gestures and charming delivery brought humor to the scene, creating a lively atmosphere. As his character has been close friends with Cha Jeong Woo since high school, Lee Yi Kyung and Lee Min Ki’s immediate chemistry also caught the eye.
Jeon Bae Soo’s seasoned performance as Cha Jeong Woo’s mentor Kim Seok Hoon, the head of KSH Plastic Surgery, which boasts the highest reputation in Gangnam, also captivated everyone on set.
Additionally, Ha Young, Lee Seung Woo, Yoon Jeong Il, Yang So Min, Lee Jae Eun, and Choi Jung Un also showcased their remarkable acting prowess, contributing to a compelling ensemble.
After the script reading, Lee Min Ki expressed his dedication to understanding his character, stating, “From the moment I first encountered the script, I deeply studied it to immerse myself in the character. I’m eager to see how Cha Jeong Woo will come out, as this character is quite different from my previous roles.”
Expressing her enthusiasm for the role, Han Ji Hyeon shared, “I’m thrilled and excited to work with such amazing people. This is my first time taking on a character like this, and I believe it will bring me a lot of joy and excitement as I portray [my character].”
