Kim Sung Cheol, Kim Shin Rok, Kim Hyun Joo, And More Pursue Their Own Agendas In 'Hellbound 2'

Netflix upcoming series “Hellbound 2” has unveiled new stills featuring the cast!

Based on a popular webtoon of the same name, Season 1 of “Hellbound” was set in a world where humans faced a frightening supernatural phenomenon: emissaries from hell appeared on Earth without warning and condemned people to hell. In “Hellbound 2,” the plot thickens as Min Hye Jin (Kim Hyun Joo), a lawyer for Sodo, gets entangled with the New Truth Society, the Arrowhead faction, and the shocking resurrection of New Truth leader Jung Jin Su (Kim Sung Cheol) and Park Jung Ja (Kim Shin Rok).

In the newly released stills, a world overwhelmed by declarations of damnation is on full display, drawing focus to characters caught in chaos. With the disappearance of Jung Jin Su and the survival of the baby once marked for death, the New Truth Society loses its grip on power while the Arrowhead rises, fueled by agitation and propaganda.

Jung Jin Su and Park Jung Ja, who were previously publicly condemned to hell, are suddenly resurrected. Min Hye Jin from Sodo sets out with her team to find these resurrected individuals and stop the chaos from escalating. Stills of Min Hye Jin show her unwavering resolve and tease even more intense action scenes. Jung Jin Su, who once spread the false belief that sinners are sent to hell, returns in a changed form, raising curiosity about his next move in an increasingly chaotic world.

The stills of Cheon Se Hyeong (Im Sung Jae), the first to find the resurrected Jung Jin Su, draws attention with his blank, unreadable expression. Because of his personal connection to the decrees and public demonstrations, Cheon Se Hyeong cares for Jung Jin Su while exhibiting mysterious and unpredictable behavior, adding to the story’s suspense. Meanwhile, Jin Kyung Hun (Yang Ik Joon), the only person to witness Jung Jin Su’s demonstration, is being threatened, and his daughter Jin Hee Jung (Lee Re) is seen lying in a hospital bed. These scenes raise questions about what happened to the father and daughter over the past eight years.

The government discovers that the New Truth Society was hiding Park Jung Ja, who suddenly came back to life like Jung Jin Su, and secretly approaches Chairman Kim Jeong Chil (Lee Dong Hee). Lee Soo Kyung (Moon So Ri), senior secretary for political affairs in the Blue House, seeks to use Park Jung Ja to introduce new doctrines through the New Truth Society and restore order in a world thrown into chaos by Arrowhead’s indiscriminate terrorism.

Miss Sunshine (Moon Geun Young), the key agitator of the fanatic Arrowhead group, makes a strong impression with bold visuals, showcasing her distinct presence. She is poised to spread a different, yet equally misguided belief from the New Truth Society, driving the world further into chaos.

In the chaotic world, the sudden emergence of resurrected individuals adds to the turmoil, sparking a power struggle among the New Truth Society, Arrowhead, Sodo, and the government. With conflicting desires and goals, it raises the question of whether resurrection will lead to salvation or mark the start of another hell, increasing anticipation for “Hellbound 2.”

“Hellbound 2” is set to premiere on October 25.
