Han Suk Kyu Faces A Crisis Of Conscience Between Family And Duty In New Drama 'Doubt'

MBC’s upcoming drama “Doubt” has unveiled new stills of Han Suk Kyu!

“Doubt” is a psychological thriller about the dilemma faced by Korea’s top criminal profiler Jang Tae Soo (Han Suk Kyu), who unexpectedly discovers that his daughter Ha Bin (Chae Won Bin) is hiding a secret related to a murder case that he is investigating.

On October 8, the production team released stills of Han Suk Kyu as Jang Tae Soo, a father who suspects his daughter. The images highlight the sharp contrast between Jang Tae Soo, a skilled profiler at the crime scene, and his shortcomings as a father at home.

In one still, Jang Tae Soo is shown investigating a case with a sharp, intense gaze. However, at home, he is far from professional; he appears gruff and has a distant, awkward relationship with his daughter. When Jang Tae Soo learns that his daughter is connected to a murder case, his defenses collapse, driving him to desperately uncover the truth.

Han Suk Kyu plays an ironic character who is a top profiler skilled at reading the minds of criminals but struggles to understand his daughter’s feelings. This performance is expected to resonate with viewers and engage them in the story. His dilemma as a father—whether to trust his daughter or suspect her as a police officer—adds significant dramatic tension to the narrative.

The first and second episodes of “Doubt” will be extended to 90 minutes and air on October 11 and 12 at 9:40 p.m. KST.
