“The Fiery Priest 2” Gives First Look As Kim Nam Gil, Lee Ha Nee, And Kim Sung Kyun Gear Up To Deliver Justice
“The Fiery Priest” is back after five years!
SBS’s “The Fiery Priest,” which first aired in 2019, is about a Catholic priest with anger management issues and a cowardly detective who work together to solve a murder case. Season 1 originally starred Kim Nam Gil, Lee Ha Nee, and Kim Sung Kyun, and the drama recorded a peak viewership rating of 22.0 percent.
On October 10, Kim Nam Gil, Lee Ha Nee, and Kim Sung Kyun heralded the return of Season 2 with a striking new teaser poster for “Fiery Priest.” Along with the text, “Bellator’s mission begins,” Kim Hae Il (Kim Nam Gil), Park Kyung Sun (Lee Ha Nee), and Goo Dae Young (Kim Sung Kyun) get ready to fight evil as they move their operations to Busan.
With a rosary in one hand and standing boldly at the front and center of the poster, the “fiery priest” Kim Hae Il will be chosen by the Pope and given authority to bring justice as the priest Bellator, raising anticipation for what new evil he will face in Season 2.
Furthermore, prosecutor Park Kyung Sun becomes an “apostle of justice,” wielding a sword in one hand, while detective Goo Dae Young of Gudam Police Station’s violent crimes unit is ready to provide full support with his fierce gaze and pistol. The two reliable supporters raise anticipation for their chemistry with Kim Hae Il.
The production team shared, “Kim Nam Gil, Lee Ha Nee, and Kim Sung Kyun will showcase impeccable chemistry, making it feel like there was no five-year gap. We are certain this project will meet the expectations of viewers who waited a long time.”
“The Fiery Priest” Season 2 will premiere on November 8 at 10 p.m. KST.
