Joo Ji Hoon, Jung Yu Mi, And More Impress At Script Reading For New Romance Drama 'Love Your Enemy'

tvN’s upcoming drama “Love Your Enemy” has shared a sneak peek of its first script reading!

On October 10, tvN’s “Love Your Enemy” announced the drama’s premiere date and released photos from its first script reading.

“Love Your Enemy” tells the story of Seok Ji Won (Joo Ji Hoon) and Yoon Ji Won (Jung Yu Mi), who were born on the same day with the same name and whose families have been enemies for generations, as they reunite after 18 years. Writer Im Ye Jin of “Love in the Moonlight” and “The Tale of Nokdu” as well as producing director Park Joon Hwa who helmed “Because This Is My First Life,” “What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim,” and “Alchemy of Souls” will be working together.

At the script reading, director Park Joon Hwa and writer Im Ye Jin as well as trusted actors Joo Ji Hoon, Jung Yu Mi, Lee Si Woo, Kim Ye Won, Kim Kap Soo, and Jun Hye Jin were in attendance.

Joo Ji Hoon takes on the role of Seok Ji Won, the new chairman of Dokmok High School and an executive director at Seokban Construction. Seok Ji Won, who was a charming student that excelled in both academics and sports, had to leave his hometown and school due to family circumstances, but he returns triumphantly as the chairman of the school foundation. There, Seok Ji Won reunites with Yoon Ji Won, his old rival with whom he used to clash at every encounter back in school, for the first time in 18 years.

Jung Yu Mi plays Yoon Ji Won, a physical education teacher at Dokmok High School. During her school days, Yoon Ji Won was known for her short temper as she could not bear injustice and felt compelled to correct wrongdoings and irrationalities. As she navigates the challenges of adulthood, Yoon Ji Won has learned to control her temper, but she begins to lose control of it upon reuniting with Seok Ji Won.

The members of the Dokmok High School family, who share close ties with Seok Ji Won and Yoon Ji Won, also draw viewers’ attention. Lee Si Woo plays Gong Moon Soo, a physical education student teacher at Dokmok High who has a crush on Yoon Ji Won.

Kim Ye Won portrays Cha Ji Hye, a childhood friend of Seok Ji Won and Yoon Ji Won who witnessed their daily fights up close.

Jun Hye Jin takes on the role of Yoon Ji Won’s best friend Maeng Soo Ah, a math teacher at Dokmok High School.

Meanwhile, Kim Kap Soo stars as Yoon Ji Won’s grandfather Yoon Jae Ho, the former chairman of Dokmok High School. Yoon Jae Ho’s bickering with Seok Ji Won’s father Seok Kyung Tae (Lee Byung Joon), who is also the chairman of Seokban Construction, adds excitement and humor to the story.

The production team remarked, “Please look forward to the enemies-to-lovers chemistry between Joo Ji Hoon and Jung Yu Mi, who perfectly embody their characters, as well as the passionate performances of the actors who will draw you into the story of the two families that have been enemies for three generations.”

“Love Your Enemy” will premiere on November 23 at 9:20 p.m. KST and will be available for viewing on Viki!
