Kim Min Ju Is A Determined Hearing-Impaired Swimmer In Upcoming Film “Hear Me: Our Summer”

The upcoming film “Hear Me: Our Summer” has unveiled the first sneak peek of Kim Min Ju’s character!

“Hear Me: Our Summer” tells a refreshing story about love and self-discovery. The film follows Yong Jun (Hong Kyung), who boldly pursues love, and Yeo Reum (Roh Yoon Seo), who learns to understand her true feelings while her supportive younger sister Ga Eul (Kim Min Ju) cheers them on.

Kim Min Ju portrays Ga Eul, a hearing-impaired swimmer who feels the freest when in the water. Ga Eul is a highly skilled athlete who competes with non-disabled swimmers and relentlessly works toward achieving her goal of winning a gold medal at the Olympics.

To prepare for the role, Kim Min Ju dedicated herself to learning sign language and swimming before filming. Despite her initial fear of water, she shared, “Before filming, I followed a routine of swimming lessons and sign language classes. Preparing for the role of Ga Eul helped me overcome my fear of water, and I found myself heading straight to the pool every day. It wasn’t easy, but it was a truly enjoyable experience. I truly hope the audience will root for Ga Eul after watching the film.”

“Hear Me: Our Summer” is set to hit theaters on November 6. Check out the film’s teaser here!
