Coupang Play’s “What Comes After Love” has offered a sneak peek into Lee Se Young and Sakaguchi Kentaro’s lovey-dovey past!
“What Comes After Love” is a romance drama based on the bestselling joint novel by Korean writer Gong Ji Young and Japanese writer Tsuji Hitonari. The novel tells the love story of a Korean woman named Hong (Lee Se Young) and a Japanese man named Jungo (Sakaguchi Kentaro) who meet and fall in love in Japan then reunite in Korea five years after their breakup.
The image of Hong in a wedding dress, smiling happily, evokes a poignant sense of nostalgia for the beautiful days she shared with Jungo in the past.
On the other hand, the sight of Hong and Jungo, who feel empty after their unexpected reunion, stirs a sense of longing and sadness as they struggle with their emotions, knowing they cannot be close again.
