Han Suk Kyu's Lying Daughter Chae Won Bin Urges Him To Trust Her In "Doubt"

Han Suk Kyu will find himself tormented by an impossible dilemma on the next episode of MBC’s “Doubt”!

“Doubt” (previously known as “Such a Close Traitor”) is a new psychological thriller starring Han Suk Kyu as Korea’s top criminal profiler Jang Tae Soo), who unexpectedly discovers that his daughter Ha Bin (Chae Won Bin) is hiding a secret related to a murder case that he is investigating.

On the first episode of “Doubt,” Jang Tae Soo came to the shocking realization that Ha Bin was linked to the murder case he was looking into. After lying to her father that she was going on a school trip, Ha Bin’s last known whereabouts were near the scene of the crime—and this knowledge chilled Tae Soo to the bone. Unable to shake off his doubts about his daughter, Tae Soo looked at her with conflicting emotions.

In newly released stills from the drama’s upcoming second episode, a miserable Tae Soo is torn between suspecting and trusting his daughter. Whether looking nervous during a briefing at the police station or getting drenched in the rain while running around trying to uncover Ha Bin’s secret, Tae Soo’s desperation is palpable.

As the soaked Tae Soo gazes at his daughter in despair, it’s unclear whether his face is wet from the rain or his tears. Meanwhile, Ha Bin’s eyes are slightly teary as she looks back at him, piquing curiosity as to what it is that Tae Soo has found out.

Later, although Ha Bin urges her father to trust her, her suspicious expression as she returns home suggests that she is hiding something from him.

The “Doubt” production team teased, “The suspicious daughter Ha Bin will make Tae Soo fall into even deeper confusion. As the mind games between father and daughter Tae Soo and Ha Bin begin in earnest, there will be a whirlwind of plot developments as the story unfolds in unpredictable ways.”

“Tae Soo, who is consumed entirely by thoughts of his daughter, will suffer as he is caught between trust and doubt. Amidst his torment, Tae Soo’s family’s past tragedy will also come to light. If you’re curious what kinds of stories lie in [his family’s] past, please tune in to Episode 2.”

The next episode of “Doubt” will air on October 12 at 9:40 p.m. KST.
