Kim Tae Ri Faces The Unexpected During High-Stakes Performance In "Jeongnyeon: The Star Is Born"
Will Kim Tae Ri’s will put on an unexpected show on the next episode of tvN’s “Jeongnyeon: The Star is Born”!
Based on a popular webtoon, “Jeongnyeon: The Star is Born” is a new drama set in the 1950s, shortly after the Korean War. Kim Tae Ri stars as the titular Jeong Nyeon, a young vocal prodigy who dreams of becoming a top traditional theater actor.

At the end of the second episode of “Jeongnyeon: The Star is Born,” Jeong Nyeon wound up in the impossible situation of having to procure a copy of the official audition script. In order to succeed in her mission, she needed to successfully pull off the role of Bang Ja in the trainee performance of “Chunhyangjeon” (the classic tale of Chunhyang).
In newly released stills from the drama’s upcoming third episode, Jeong Nyeon has made a transformation to play the role of Bang Ja. When waiting backstage for her entrance in full makeup and costume, Jeong Nyeon is visibly nervous as she tensely watches the stage.
However, a later photo captures Jeong Nyeon lying prone on the floor, looking as though she’s at a loss for what to do next. It’s clear that something unexpected has happened during the performance—but what has happened to Jeong Nyeon, and will she able to recover from it and successfully wrap up her high-stakes performance?
The next episode of “Jeongnyeon: The Star is Born” will air on October 19 at 9:20 p.m. KST.
