Cube Responds To New Report Of (G)I-DLE's Jeon Soyeon Leaving The Agency
Cube Entertainment has addressed a new report regarding the expiration of (G)I-DLE’s Jeon Soyeon’s contract.
On October 25, Xportsnews reported that after recent discussions, Jeon Soyeon had ultimately decided not to renew her contract with Cube Entertainment, which is set to expire this November.
That same morning, Cube Entertainment responded by clarifying, “We are currently in the process of discussing a contract renewal with Jeon Soyeon. She will carry out her future activities as scheduled.”
Back in August, while performing at (G)I-DLE’s concert in Seoul, Jeon Soyeon changed the lyrics to her solo song “Is this bad b****** number?” to include a mention of her contract ending in November. While a spokesperson for Cube Entertainment was initially reported to have denied the claim, stating that the (G)I-DLE members’ contract renewals were scheduled for next year, the agency later confirmed that Jeon Soyeon’s contract was, in fact, due to expire in November—but added that they were “in the process of smoothly discussing” a potential renewal.
