On the latest episode of “The King of Mask Singer,” the identity of “Pancake” was revealed!

During the October 27 broadcast of the MBC singing competition, eight new contestants entered the ring to challenge the reigning champion for the throne.

In the second match-up of Round 1, “Pancake” faced off with her opponent through a duet version of DAY6’s viral hit “HAPPY.”

After watching their performance, several of the celebrity panelists speculated that Pancake was an idol, with Ko Young Bae guessing that she might be a member of NMIXX.

Although both contestants earned praise for their singing, Pancake ultimately lost the round to her opponent. She then remained on stage to perform a soulful cover of Yoon Mi Rae’s “As Time Goes By.”

Halfway through the song, Pancake took off her mask to reveal her identity—and she turned out to be none other than Billlie’s main rapper Moon Sua.

Referring to Billlie’s latest comeback, Moon Sua shared, “We’re starting our first promotions as a full group in a year and seven months. It’s my first time performing alone on stage in a really long time, and I thought it’d be okay since I was wearing a mask, but I was still so nervous.”

Host Kim Sung Joo then revealed that ASTRO’s Cha Eun Woo had sent in a video message to show his support for Moon Sua—and that if she had advanced to the next round, it would have been played for the crowd as a hint to her identity.

In the heartwarming video, Cha Eun Woo said, “Pancake is someone I really care for like my own younger sister. Just like a stack of pancakes, she is an ‘all-rounder player’ who has built a stack of talents, including dance, rap, singing, and hosting… I’ve been watching her growth from the sidelines. Please give Pancake lots of love.”

When asked about her close bond with Cha Eun Woo, Moon Sua expressed her gratitude by saying, “He’s someone I’ve seen a lot since I was a trainee. He’s also really taken good care of me recently, and he cheers me on a lot and treats me with affection.”
