Heo Nam Jun And Chae Soo Bin Reunite Years After College In New Drama “When The Phone Rings”
MBC’s upcoming drama “When the Phone Rings” has dropped new stills!
Based on a web novel, “When the Phone Rings” depicts the romance of a couple that married for convenience as they receive a threatening phone call. The series boasts a strong cast including Yoo Yeon Seok, Chae Soo Bin, and Heo Nam Jun.
Chae Soo Bin plays Hong Hee Joo, a sign language interpreter who lost her ability to speak after a childhood accident. Heo Nam Jun takes on the role of Ji Sang Woo, a charming psychiatrist known for his good looks and warm personality.
In the released stills, Hee Joo and Sang Woo are seen catching up in sign language after reuniting for the first time since graduating from college, sparking curiosity about their relationship.
Hee Joo feels isolated in her empty marriage to Baek Sa Eon (Yoo Yeon Seok). One day, she unexpectedly runs into Sang Woo, a senior from college with whom she used to volunteer. Even after losing touch, they easily reconnect, making eye contact and resuming their conversation in sign language. Their reunion, conveyed through looks, expressions, and gestures, exudes warmth and familiarity.
Hee Joo and Sang Woo’s unexpected reunion after years of no contact sparks curiosity about their past. Sang Woo’s presence also seems to stir jealousy and suspicion in Hee Joo’s business-only husband, Sa Eon, raising questions about how their relationship will affect the story.
“When the Phone Rings” is set to air on November 22 at 9:50 p.m. KST.
