Jo Soo Min Transforms Into A Couple-Matching Civil Servant Who Celebrates The Single Life In New Rom-Com
Upcoming drama “Marry YOU” (literal title) has offered a sneak peek of Jo Soo Min’s character!
“Marry YOU” is a comedic family drama that follows the romance between Bong Chul Hee (Lee Yi Kyung), a bachelor from a remote island whose life goal is marriage, and Jung Ha Na (Jo Soo Min), a level 7 civil servant who is determined to stay single.
The reunion of Lee Yi Kyung and Jo Soo Min after five years, having previously worked together on “Royal Secret Agent,” heightens anticipation for “Marry YOU.”
The first stills of Jo Soo Min, who perfectly embodies Jung Ha Na, a civil servant who advocates for singlehood, have been released. Her portrayal captivates viewers as she seamlessly captures the character’s everyday life.
Jung Ha Na is an independent woman who has planned a fulfilling life as a single person. While she embraces her choice to remain unmarried, she ironically finds herself needing to encourage others to marry. Jo Soo Min is expected to sensitively explore Jung Ha Na’s struggles to balance singlehood and marriage.
Jo Soo Min’s relatable performance as 29-year-old Jung Ha Na is anticipated to enhance the drama’s appeal. She began her career as a child actress and has steadily built her filmography with consistent work as an adult.
The production team stated, “Through the character Jung Ha Na, we aim to show why today’s 20- and 30-somethings are choosing to live alone instead of getting married. To portray Jung Ha Na authentically, a delicate and relatable expression is essential. From her first shoot, Jo Soo Min fully captured Jung Ha Na’s emotions and immersed herself in the role. We hope viewers will be excited to see the charm and performance Jo Soo Min brings to ‘Marry YOU,’ and we ask for your interest and anticipation until the first broadcast.”
“Marry YOU” is set to premiere on November 16 at 7:50 p.m. KST.
