BLACKPINK's Rosé's "APT." Breaks Record As Highest-Charting Debut For Any Female K-Pop Artist On Billboard Hot 100
BLACKPINK’s Rosé is making K-pop history with her new single!
On October 29 (local time), Billboard announced that Rosé’s new collab single with Bruno Mars “APT.” debuted at an impressive No. 8 on the Hot 100, which ranks the most popular songs in the United States.
This remarkable achievement not only marks Rosé’s second entry on the Billboard Hot 100 as a solo artist but also sets a record for the highest position ever attained by a female K-pop artist on this chart, even including groups.
With this milestone, Rosé becomes the first female K-pop artist to break into the top 10.
In addition to its success on the Hot 100, “APT.” also claimed the No. 1 position on both the Billboard Global 200 and Global 200 (excluding the U.S.) charts.
Expressing her gratitude for fans, Rosé personally took to Instagram to write, “Oh my gosh what is happening. This is crazy. Thank you so much number ones, BLINKs, everyone. This one’s for you. This is my dream come true. TY Bruno Mars.”
Congratulations to Rosé on this impressive achievement!
