Jun Ji Hyun And Koo Kyo Hwan In Talks + Shin Hyun Been, Ji Chang Wook, And Kim Shin Rok Reported To Star In New Zombie Film
Jun Ji Hyun, Koo Kyo Hwan, Shin Hyun Been, Ji Chang Wook, and Kim Shin Rok may be starring in a new zombie film!
Recently, media outlets reported that Jun Ji Hyun, Koo Kyo Hwan, Shin Hyun Been, Ji Chang Wook, and Kim Shin Rok will be starring in the new film “Colony” (literal translation) by director Yeon Sang Ho, who helmed the films “Train to Busan” and “Peninsula” as well as the animated film “Seoul Station.”
In response to the report, Jun Ji Hyun’s agency and Koo Kyo Hwan’s agency both shared that it is a project that the actors received offers for and are currently reviewing.
The agencies of Shin Hyun Been, Ji Chang Wook, and Kim Shin Rok have yet to comment on the reports.
Previously, Jun Ji Hyun played the role of Ashin in Netflix’s “Kingdom: Ashin of the North,” where she successfully tackled the zombie genre. Notably, she shared brief screen time with Koo Kyo Hwan, who played the character Aidagan in that project. Anticipation is high for whether these two actors will reunite in “Colony.”
Moreover, Koo Kyo Hwan and director Yeon Sang Ho have previously worked together on several projects including the film “Peninsula” and the Netflix series “Parasyte: The Grey” as well as the TVING series “Monstrous,” which director Yeon Sang Ho participated in the scriptwriting for.
