Lim Ji Yeon Captures The Contrast Lives In Slavery And Nobility In New Drama “The Tale Of Lady Ok”
Upcoming JTBC drama “The Tale of Lady Ok” has released a new poster!
“The Tale of Lady Ok” tells the intense survival con game of Ok Tae Young (Lim Ji Yeon), who fakes her name, status, and even her husband, and Cheon Seung Hwi (Choo Young Woo), who risks everything to protect her. Lim Ji Yeon’s character Goo Deok Yi is a servant forced to live as Lady Ok Tae Young, showcasing two very different sides of the same person.
In a tragic story brought to life, Goo Deok Yi, a runaway slave, transforms into the noblewoman’s daughter Ok Tae Young. A new poster highlighting the dual lives of one woman adds to the excitement ahead of the premiere.
The newly released poster features the contrasting characters of the fake Ok Tae Young and the slave Goo Deok Yi, depicted together like a painting. The fake Ok Tae Young is dressed in a bright yellow silk outfit and styled with a traditional bun, exuding elegance. In stark contrast, Goo Deok Yi has a wound above her eyebrow and is dressed in tattered rags, telling a different story.
The sun and moon above their heads symbolize the dignified life of the fake Ok Tae Young, who rises like the sun, and Goo Deok Yi’s dark, desperate past, leaving a powerful impression.
Overall, the poster captures Goo Deok Yi’s journey from a life of hardship as a slave to becoming the noblewoman known as Ok Tae Young. Curiosity about her story and the contrasting lives she will experience continues to grow.
“Tale of Lady Ok” is set to premiere on November 30 at 10:30 p.m. KST.
