Chae Won Bin Confirmed To Join Kim Hae Sook, Jung Ji So, And Jung Jinyoung In Drama Adaptation Of "Miss Granny"
Chae Won Bin has been confirmed to star in the drama adaptation of “Miss Granny” alongside Kim Hae Sook, Jung Ji So, and Jung Jinyoung!
On November 5, KBS2’s upcoming drama “Miss Granny” announced that Chae Won Bin, who is currently starring in the on-air drama “Doubt,” will star as Kim Hae Sook’s granddaughter Choi Ha Na.
A remake of the film of the same name, which has spawned multiple remakes in other countries, “Miss Granny” is a music romance drama about a grandmother in her 70s named Oh Mal Soon who suddenly transforms into a 20-year-old Oh Doo Ri and gets to enjoy her golden years once again.
Kim Hae Sook will play the role of Oh Mal Soon, a tough-minded but impossible-to-hate grandmother who strives to debut as an idol in order to achieve her unfulfilled dream of becoming a singer.
Jung Ji So will take on the role of Oh Doo Ri, an unpredictable character who oscillates between a naive youth and a cunning 70-year-old, causing a stir in the Jongno neighborhood. Possessing the mind and soul of a grandmother, Oh Doo Ri joins Eunice Entertainment as an idol trainee to fulfill her dream of becoming a singer, a dream she couldn’t achieve in her first life.
Jung Jinyoung takes on the role of Daniel Han, the former leader of the popular group Ignis and the current chief producer at Eunice Entertainment. Daniel Han is a genius producer who handles everything from composing to setting the group’s image map and album concept. His life, which was on a smooth path as a chief producer, gets completely shaken when he meets Oh Doo Ri who harbors a secret.
Last but not least, Chae Won Bin plays Oh Mal Soon’s granddaughter Choi Ha Na. She was always the top student in school, but she gives up on the college entrance exam to pursue her true dream of becoming a singer and becomes a trainee at Eunice Entertainment.
“Miss Granny” is scheduled to premiere this December as the follow-up to “Face Me.” Stay tuned for more updates!
