ITZY Ties TWICE's Record For K-Pop Girl Group With Most Billboard 200 Entries As "GOLD" Debuts
ITZY has just scored their seventh consecutive entry on the Billboard 200!
For the week ending on November 9, ITZY’s latest mini album “GOLD” debuted at No. 60 on Billboard’s Top 200 Albums chart, which ranks the most popular albums in the United States. (Although “GOLD” was originally released in Korea and on digital platforms on October 15, the physical version of the mini album was released 10 days later in the United States, leading to a delayed debut on the U.S. albums charts.)
“GOLD” is ITZY’s seventh consecutive album to enter the Billboard 200, following “GUESS WHO,” “CRAZY IN LOVE,” “CHECKMATE,” “CHESHIRE,” “KILL MY DOUBT,” and “BORN TO BE.”
With this newest entry, ITZY has matched TWICE’s record for the K-pop girl group with the most entries on the Billboard 200. Notably, ITZY managed to chart seven different albums in just three and a half years.
“GOLD” also debuted at No. 3 on Billboard’s World Albums chart this week, in addition to entering both the Top Album Sales chart and Top Current Album Sales chart at No. 8—meaning it was the eighth best-selling album of the week in the United States.
Meanwhile, ITZY re-entered Billboard’s Artist 100 at No. 37, marking their 11th non-consecutive week on the chart.
Congratulations to ITZY!
