Heo Nam Jun Is A Successful Psychiatrist Who Provokes Jealousy In Yoo Yeon Seok In New Drama "When The Phone Rings"
MBC’s upcoming drama “When the Phone Rings” has released new stills featuring Heo Nam Jun!
Based on a popular web novel, “When the Phone Rings” tells the story of Baek Sa Eon (Yoo Yeon Seok) and Hong Hee Joo (Chae Soo Bin), a couple that married for convenience—and the romance that blossoms between them after a threatening phone call.
Heo Nam Jun takes on the role of Ji Sang Woo, a psychiatrist and a mystery-focused content creator with 200,000 subscribers. He hovers around Hong Hee Joo, with whom he volunteered for sign language services during their college days. This stirs jealousy and wariness in her husband Baek Sa Eon.
Heo Nam Jun candidly shared the reason for choosing this drama, saying, “I had a meeting with the director, and I enjoyed our conversation so much and thought that we were very communicative. This is why I decided to take on the role.”
When asked about the aspects he focused on while acting, Heo Nam Jun also revealed, “Sang Woo is more often involved in various situations and interactions with people rather than just showcasing his medical side. I paid a lot of attention to the details, contemplating how he would act in different situations and emotions.”
“When the Phone Rings” will premiere on November 22 at 9:50 p.m. KST.
