Choo Young Woo Is Both Free-Spirited Artist And Dignified Nobleman In Dual Roles In "The Tale Of Lady Ok"
JTBC’s upcoming drama “The Tale of Lady Ok” has teased Choo Young Woo’s captivating transformation as he takes on dual roles!
“The Tale of Lady Ok” follows the intense survival con game of runaway slave Goo Deok Yi (Lim Ji Yeon), who assumes a false identity, and Cheon Seung Hwi (Choo Young Woo), who risks everything to protect her.
Choo Young Woo stars as Cheon Seung Hwi, a renowned storyteller whose mesmerizing performances have captured the entire nation. However, beneath his public persona, Cheon Seung Hwi secretly hides the fact that he is actually Seong Yoon Gyeom, the eldest son of the noble Seong family.
Known for his exceptional acting and dancing skills, Cheon Seung Hwi’s captivating beauty is also a key part of his public appeal. Off-stage, his dedication to perfecting his craft is equally remarkable. The newly released stills offer a sneak peek into his graceful dance moves, showcasing his natural talent and artistry.
In contrast, Seong Yoon Gyeom has a completely opposite personality. As the eldest son of a respected magistrate, Seong Yoon Gyeom is known for his outstanding martial arts skills and profound academic knowledge, making him the most sought-after bachelor in the village. His solemn gaze exudes a powerful charisma and his composed, dignified presence stands in sharp opposition to the free-spirited Cheon Seung Hwi.
Director Jin Hyuk praised Choo Young Woo’s performance, commenting, “Despite the challenge of portraying two roles, his character development was outstanding. I hope ‘The Tale of Lady Ok’ becomes a project that further cements Choo Young Woo’s reputation as an actor.”
“The Tale of Lady Ok” will premiere on November 30 at 10:30 p.m. KST. Check out a teaser here!
