Watch: Gong Yoo And Seo Hyun Jin Find Themselves Inexplicably Drawn To Each Other In "The Trunk" Teasers

Netflix’s upcoming drama “The Trunk” has shared exciting new teasers!

Based on a novel, “The Trunk” is about a secretive marriage service accompanied by a mysterious trunk. The story revolves around Noh In Ji (Seo Hyun Jin), an employee at NM (New Marriage) who finds herself deeply alone despite her job of living with a “contract husband” every year, and Han Jeong Won (Gong Yoo), who enters into this contract marriage in an ironic attempt to preserve his previous marriage.

The newly released poster captures the physically close yet distant relationship between “contract couple” Noh In Ji and Han Jeong Won. Their sad and empty gazes as they look away from each other raise questions about their backstories. However, the light illuminating the two amidst the darkness also suggests the changes they may bring to each other’s lives. The copy between them reads, “Truths and lies, wrath and longing. A marriage entangled in secrets.”

The teaser released alongside the poster raises curiosity for the mysterious murder case surrounding a trunk that surfaces at a lake one day. Not long after their contract marriage, Han Jeong Won becomes the focus of the case. When asked, “How do you know the owner of the trunk?” Han Jeong Won replies, “My wife used to use it.” The detective then asks, “Which wife?”

Although Han Jeong Won initially wonders about the purpose of the fake marriage, Noh In Ji gradually makes her way into Han Jeong Won’s heart as he finds himself thinking, “She makes me uneasy.”

Han Jeong Won’s ex-wife Lee Seo Yeon (Jung Yun Ha), who insisted on the marriage in the first place, begins to bring up Han Jeong Won and Noh In Ji’s divorce. Noh In Ji asks, “Aren’t you here because you’re worried the fake relationship might become real?”

As the teaser comes to a close, Han Jeong Won states, “We might be destined to be together,” raising further intrigue about the outcome of the contract marriage. The teaser also piques interest in the mysterious trunk found without a body as well as an unfamiliar man who asks Han Jeong Won, “Do you feel Noh In Ji’s become your real wife or something?”
