Bae In Hyuk, Kim Ji Eun, Jung Gun Joo, Jaechan, And More Preview Fantastic Chemistry At Script Reading For New Drama
Channel A’s “Check In Hanyang” (literal title) has unveiled photos from its first script reading!
Set in the Joseon Dynasty, “Check In Hanyang” is a historical romance drama that depicts the growth and love stories of youths who join as “interns” at Yongcheonlu, the largest inn in Joseon.
The script reading for “Check In Hanyang” was attended by writer Park Hyun Jin and director Myung Hyun Woo as well as the main cast members including Bae In Hyuk, Kim Ji Eun, Jung Gun Joo, Jaechan, Kim Min Jung, Kim Eui Sung, Yoon Je Moon, Han Jae Suk, Kim Yoon Bae, Kim Young Joon, Choi Min Chul, Jung Eun Pyo, and Jeon Hye Yeon, who gathered for the first time to read through the script together.
Bae In Hyuk plays Lee Eun, a prince who joins Yongcheonru under the alias Lee Eun Ho while hiding his true identity.
Kim Ji Eun takes on the role of Hong Deok Soo, a woman living disguised as a man for an unknown reason, bringing bright and confident energy to the drama.
Jung Gun Joo plays Cheon Jun Hwa with a playful yet kind personality who will form a love triangle with Lee Eun and Hong Deok Soo.
Jaechan, who plays Go Soo Ra, a straightforward young man from Hanyang, is ready to showcase a new side of him.
In addition to them, veteran actors such as Kim Min Jung, Kim Eui Sung, Yoon Je Moon, and Han Jae Suk add depth to the drama. Kim Min Jung is set to make a special appearance as Seol Mae Hwa, the general manager of Yongcheonru.
Kim Eui Sung plays the charismatic Chun Bang Joo, the true owner of Yongcheonru who desires even greater power.
Yoon Je Moon, who plays the role of Minister of War Oh Young Rak, and Han Jae Suk, who transforms into the current king Lee Hyun Wi, are set to portray the political battles that form a significant part of the story.
Other cast members Kim Yoon Bae, Kim Young Joon, Choi Min Chul, Jung Eun Pyo, and Jeon Hye Yeon play members of Yongcheonru, while Kim Young Sun joins as a character who showcases delightful chemistry with the protagonists.
The production team remarked, “The drama will offer a variety of entertainment to viewers including the growth stories of youth filled with laughter, heart-fluttering romance, and thrilling political battles, so please look forward to the stellar performances of the actors.”
