"A Virtuous Business" Stars Say Goodbye + Thank Viewers Ahead Of Tonight's Finale
The stars of JTBC’s “A Virtuous Business” have shared their final farewells ahead of tonight’s series finale!
With just one episode left to go, the drama’s leads took a fond look back at filming and spoke about what the series meant to them.
Kim So Yeon remarked, “I want to give a round of applause to everyone in the cast and crew, all of whom worked hard together.”
She went on to confess, “I was a bit more nervous about this drama [than my other projects] because of its subject matter of adult toys, which had never been tackled before in a Korean drama. Fortunately, it seems like the viewers enjoyed watching it, so I’m very grateful. It was thanks to all of you that I was able to gain the strength to wrap up filming.”
Kim So Yeon warmly added, “I was happy during the time I spent together with the Bangpan Sisters, who never lost hope, along with Do Hyun, the Geumje villagers, Min Ho, and Dong Woo. I wish for all of you to also have someone by your side that gives you hope.”
Expressing his deep affection for “A Virtuous Business,” Yeon Woo Jin commented, “The message that the drama wanted to convey was so beautiful, and I was very happy to be able to be part of that story as Kim Do Hyun throughout every single moment of filming.”
“Thanks to the kind hearts of the cast and crew who worked with me, I received a massive amount of comfort on the filming set without even realizing it,” he continued. “I’d really like to keep telling a story with these people for a long, long time.”
The actor went on to express his gratitude to the show’s viewers, remarking, “Thank you so much for giving love to ‘A Virtuous Business,’ and I will greet you with other good things soon.”
Kim Sung Ryung shared, “I had high expectations [for the drama], and I’m extremely happy that the result was so good. It was all the more meaningful because I worked together with such great actors and staff.”
The actress also spoke nostalgically about the deep bond that formed between the drama’s four leading ladies. “All the scenes in which the four Bangpan Sisters toiled, moved, laughed, and cried together remain in my memory,” she said. “I don’t know how it started, but from a certain moment onwards, we all crept into one another’s hearts.”
Looking back on filming, Kim Sun Young recalled, “What comes to mind is the staff, who worked hard in the summer heat while sweating. Seeing that, I desperately hoped to myself that the drama would receive enough love that the staff would feel rewarded for their hard work and suffering.
“Although I wasn’t able to speak to each and every one of them, I’m grateful to all of the people who played a part in creating ‘A Virtuous Business.’”
Kim Sun Young also conveyed her gratitude to the viewers, noting, “Thanks to the viewers who enjoyed watching our drama, the ‘A Virtuous Business’ team was able to smile. Thank you, and thank you again.”
Finally, Lee Se Hee revealed, “At first, I wanted so badly to do a good job that I thought I wouldn’t be able to simply enjoy filming the drama. But as filming progressed, the excitement I felt whenever I was on my way to the set grew so much.
“I think the reason that was possible was because of the writer, who wrote a great script for every episode, and the director, who created a comfortable filming set that allowed us to trust him fully, along with the kind and warmhearted Bangpan Sisters, my reliable partner Kim Jung Jin, the other amazing actors, and the Avengers-esque staff.”
She concluded, “I was truly happy to have been able to start and end 2024 with ‘A Virtuous Business,’ and I sincerely thank the viewers who laughed and cried together with us and enjoyed watching the fruits of our labor.”
The final episode of “A Virtuous Business” will air on November 17 at 10:30 p.m. KST.
