Yoo Yeon Seok And Chae Soo Bin Attend An Event As A Couple In New Drama 'When The Phone Rings'

MBC’s upcoming drama “When the Phone Rings” has shared new stills ahead of the premiere!

Based on a popular web novel, “When the Phone Rings” tells the story of Baek Sa Eon (Yoo Yeon Seok) and Hong Hee Joo (Chae Soo Bin), a couple that married for convenience—and the romance that blossoms between them after a threatening phone call.

Baek Sa Eon is the youngest spokesperson for the presidential office who has everything from family background to handsome looks. He enters into a contract marriage with Hong Hee Joo, the second daughter of the owner of the country’s top media company.

Hong Hee Joo, a sign language interpreter suffering from selective mutism, is the wife of Baek Sa Eon, who enjoys love and support from the public. However, even after three years of marriage, her existence has never been exposed to the media.

The newly released stills feature Sa Eon and Hee Joo attending an official event together, heightening curiosity. Hee Joo awkwardly links her arm with Sa Eon’s, clearly showing tension. Curiosity is high regarding the reason Sa Eon brings his wife Hee Joo to an official event.

In the image below, Baek Sa Eon is having a phone conversation with a cold demeanor. Although he nonchalantly handles the situation, a single phone call turns his life upside down.

The production team remarked, “At first glance, it may seem like a love-hate romance, but ‘When the Phone Rings’ is filled with twists and turns. Please show lots of anticipation for the shocking narrative of the business couple Sa Eon and Hee Joo and how their story will develop following a threatening phone call.”

“When the Phone Rings” will premiere on November 22 at 9:50 p.m.. KST. Stay tuned!
