Watch: Idol And Former 'Street Woman Fighter' Contestant Covers Lee Hi On 'The King Of Mask Singer'

On the latest episode of “The King of Mask Singer,” the identity of “Luminescent-Haired Anne” was revealed!

During the November 24 broadcast of the MBC singing competition, eight new contestants entered the ring to challenge the reigning champion for the throne.

In the second match-up of Round 1, “Luminescent-Haired Anne” faced off with her opponent through a duet performance of Tashannie’s “Day by Day.”

After their performance, the two contestants offered a hint at their identities by dancing together to the SMTOWN collab track “Hot & Cold” (originally sung by EXO’s Kai, Red Velvet’s Seulgi, NCT’s Jeno, and aespa’s Karina).

Luminescent-Haired Anne ultimately lost the round to her opponent, and she remained on stage to perform a soulful cover of Lee Hi’s “No One.” Halfway through the song, she removed her mask to reveal that she was none other than BADVILLAIN’s Emma, who first rose to fame on Mnet’s “Street Woman Fighter” before debuting as an idol earlier this year.

When asked how she had wound up becoming an idol after starting her career as a dancer, Emma explained, “I actually went to a performing arts high school because I wanted to become an idol. But because I ended up loving dancing so much, I kept dancing, and then I started wanting to become an idol again. So I wound up taking on this challenge.”

After the episode aired, BADVILLAIN’s official X (Twitter) account posted several cute photos of Emma posing with her mask backstage.
