Jin Makes Solo Debut In Top 4 Of Billboard 200 + BTS Becomes 1st K-Pop Act To Have All Members Chart A Solo Top 10 Album
BTS’s Jin has made his solo debut on the Billboard 200!
On November 24 local time, Billboard announced that Jin had entered its Top 200 Albums chart (its weekly ranking of the most popular albums in the United States) for the very first time as a solo artist.
Jin’s first solo album “Happy” has debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200, meaning that all seven of the BTS members now have a top 10 solo album to their name.
As a group, BTS has seven top 10 albums—including six No. 1 albums—and they are now the first K-pop group to have all of its members boast a solo top 10 entry.
According to Luminate (formerly Nielsen Music), “Happy” earned a total of 77,000 equivalent album units during the week ending on November 21. The album’s total score consisted of 66,000 traditional album sales—making it the third best-selling album of the week in the United States—and 8,000 streaming equivalent album (SEA) units, which translates to 10.53 million on-demand audio streams over the course of the week. The album also racked up 3,000 track equivalent album (TEA) units in its first week.
Congratulations to Jin and BTS!
