Yoon Sang Hyun Is A Househusband Hoping To Revive His Music Career In Upcoming Drama “Namib”

ENA’s upcoming drama “Namib” has offered a sneak peek of Yoon Sang Hyun’s character!

“Namib” depicts the meeting of former entertainment agency CEO Kang Soo Hyun (Go Hyun Jung) and longtime trainee Yoo Jin Woo (Ryeoun), who gets kicked out of his agency, as they each head toward their own goals.

Yoon Sang Hyun plays Shim Joon Seok, a full-time househusband married to Kang Soo Hyun. Shim Joon Seok follows a strict routine as a homemaker, tirelessly caring for his busy wife and injured son.

Despite his role as the perfect househusband, Shim Joon Seok has a surprising past. He was once a founding member of Pandora Entertainment and a music producer. After stepping away from his career for unknown reasons, Shim Joon Seok has spent nearly 10 years focused on household duties. Now, his desire to return to music resurfaces, leaving viewers wondering if he will leave his life as a househusband and revive his career as a music producer.

In newly released photos, Shim Joon Seok is seen struggling to balance household chores while working toward a career comeback. After finishing his tasks, he refreshes his mind by watching trainee videos and listening to their songs on a tablet while enjoying a cup of coffee.

To portray Shim Joon Seok’s deep desire to return to his profession, Yoon Sang Hyun shared, “I put a lot of thought into the role of a producer. I paid special attention to my hairstyle to match the profession and practiced playing instruments and singing to improve my performance.”

Yoon Sang Hyun also explained, “For 10 years, he stopped working and quietly supported his wife and son. I wanted to show his devotion to family. I focused on his evolving emotions and the changes in his expressions.”

Yoon Sang Hyun described “Namib” as “a drama about people trying to rediscover their dreams and find happiness again.” He added, “In the hustle of everyday life, it will shine a light, helping people reflect on what true happiness is and what the future they once dreamed of might look like.” This has left viewers eagerly anticipating the premiere.

“Namib” will premiere on December 23 at 10 p.m. KST.
