Jaechan Is An Outspoken Young Man Determined To Restore His Family’s Honor In “Check In Hanyang”

Upcoming drama “Check in Hanyang” has unveiled its first stills of Jaechan!

Set in the Joseon Dynasty, “Check in Hanyang” is a historical romance drama that depicts the growth and love stories of youths who join as “interns” at Yongcheonlu, the largest inn in Joseon.

Jaechan plays Go Soo Ra, an ambitious young man who joins Yongcheonlu as a trainee with the goal of becoming a full-fledged staff member in order to restore his family’s lost honor and achieve success.

The first still captures Go Soo Ra on his first day at Yongcheonlu, carrying his belongings with a determined look on his face. His eyes shine with ambition, clearly reflecting his resolve to succeed. Another still captures him fully engrossed in a lesson. His diligence is evident as he maintains his concentration without a single moment of distraction.

Despite being an exemplary trainee, Go Soo Ra’s life at Yongcheonlu is far from smooth. He finds himself sharing a room with the “troublemaker trio” Lee Eun Ho (Bae In Hyuk), Hong Deok Soo (Kim Ji Eun), and Cheon Jun Hwa (Jung Gun Joo).

Go Soo Ra, however, is not one to stay silent when wronged. His outspoken personality often leads to clashes, even with his superiors. In the last still, he is seen facing off against instructor Bang Sa Seon (Kim Yoon Bae) with a dissatisfied expression, sparking curiosity about the reason behind their dispute and whether he can overcome these challenges to become an official staff member.

The production team shared, “Go Soo Ra is a character with a strong determination to rebuild his family’s legacy and a candid personality that doesn’t shy away from speaking the truth. Jaechan added even more charm to Go Soo Ra with his vibrant portrayal. His passionate and nuanced acting will add depth to the drama, so please look forward to it.”

“Check in Hanyang” will premiere on December 21 at 7:50 p.m. KST.
