Park Bo Young In Talks To Lead New Drama By Director And Writer Of "Rampant"
Park Bo Young may be starring in a new drama.
On November 26, STARNEWS reported that Park Bo Young will star in the upcoming drama “Goldland.”
In response to the report, her agency BH Entertainment stated, “Park Bo Young has received an offer to appear in the new drama ‘Goldland’ and is currently reviewing it.”
“Goldland” tells the story set in Goldland, South Korea’s first domestic casino which was established to revive the economy of a struggling mining town that was affected by the decline of the coal industry.
Park Bo Young has reportedly been offered the role of Kim Hee Joo, a woman born into such a misfortune family that she’s often referred to as “cursed.” After gaining independence from her parents, she starts working at Goldland, where she falls in love with a man she meets there. However, their romance takes a dangerous turn when they become entangled in a mysterious attempted murder case linked to an untraceable stash of gold bars. Kim Hee Joo’s journey follows her desperate fight to protect both love and money.
The drama will be directed by Kim Sung Hoon, known for acclaimed films like “Confidential Assignment” and “Rampant,” as well as the drama “Chief Detective 1958.” The script will be penned by Hwang Jo Yoon, the writer behind “Masquerade,” “Memoir of a Murderer,” and “Rampant.”
Park Bo Young is currently gearing up for the release of her upcoming Disney+ drama “Light Shop.”
