Watch: TREASURE To Change Leaders + Announces Plans For 2025

YG Entertainment has revealed TREASURE’s plans for the coming year!

On December 2 at midnight KST, YG Entertainment released a special announcement video in which founder Yang Hyun Suk personally addressed the company’s upcoming plans for TREASURE.

Yang Hyun Suk began by explaining that TREASURE’s upcoming digital single “LAST NIGHT,” which is due out on December 5 at 6 p.m. KST, is a pre-release track from an upcoming mini album. TREASURE is currently planning to make a comeback with their new mini album in February 2025, after which they are aiming to release a full-length album around July or August.

The YG Entertainment founder added that TREASURE’s upcoming music will “dial back the intensity” in contrast to previous title tracks like “KING KONG,” BONA BONA,” and “JIKJIN,” and it will instead focus on allowing the members to “express their honest emotions.”

Additionally, TREASURE will be changing their group leaders in the year ahead. Starting from January 1, 2025, Junkyu and Asahi will be TREASURE’s new leaders, taking over for current leaders Hyunsuk and Jihoon. According to Yang Hyun Suk, Junkyu and Asahi are expected to remain the group’s leaders for the next two or three years.

Finally, TREASURE is currently preparing for a special fan meeting event in March, and the group is expected to kick off a world tour in October.
