Jung Ji So Possesses The Soul Of A Grandmother In Her 70s Dreaming Of Becoming A Singer In "Who Is She!"

KBS2’s upcoming drama “Who Is She!” has unveiled a new poster!

A remake of the famous film “Miss Granny,” which has spawned multiple remakes in other countries, “Who Is She!” is a music romance drama about a woman in her 70s who suddenly transforms into a 20-year-old and gets a second chance at living out her dreams. Kim Hae Sook will star as Oh Mal Soon, a grandmother who unexpectedly finds herself training to debut as an idol after she returns to her 20-year-old body.

Jung Ji So plays the younger version of Mal Soon, Oh Doo Ri, a passionate and determined young woman striving to make her unfulfilled dreams come true. She enters Eunice Entertainment to fulfill her long-held dream of becoming a singer, getting deeply entangled with star producer Daniel Han (Jung Jinyoung).

In the newly released character poster, Oh Doo Ri stares straight ahead with a determined look while wearing a blue tracksuit. The mark of “spring” stamped on her both cheeks and her tightly closed lips suggest that she harbors a secret she cannot reveal. In addition, the text that reads, “A face in her 20s, but a tongue in her 70s?!” hints at her dual-age charm, heightening viewers’ curiosity about her real identity.

Jung Ji So shared that she initially felt pressured when reviewing her casting offer because the original film “Miss Granny” received great love from the public. She remarked, “Although there was pressure, the parts where the character switches between her 20s and 70s were incredibly appealing as I read the script,” explaining why she decided to take on the role.

In order to portray the character who oscillates between her 20s and 70s, Jung Ji So shared that she meticulously studied every detail of the character including voice tone, speech patterns, walking style, and facial expressions. She added, “I put in a lot of effort to capture the essence of someone in her 70s into the 20-year-old Oh Doo Ri by closely monitoring senior actress Kim Hae Sook’s performance,” revealing her extraordinary passion for the project.
