Go Soo Delves Into The Post-Parole Life Of Ex-Convict Park No Shik In “Parole Examiner Lee”

tvN’s “Parole Examiner Lee” has unveiled new stills ahead of the upcoming episode!

“Parole Examiner Lee” is about lawyer Lee Han Shin (Go Soo), who becomes a parole officer responsible for making final decisions on inmate paroles. Lee Han Shin is determined to prevent inmates who show little remorse for their crimes from obtaining parole through money, connections, or deceitful tactics.

So far, the series has focused on individuals who should not be granted parole. The next episode will shift focus to the story of someone who was granted parole.

Newly released stills show Lee Han Shin as a former prison guard with inmate Yang Bok Gyu (Park No Shik). The earlier preview for episode 5 piqued curiosity by showing Yang Bok Gyu, frustrated, attempting to jump from a crane. The preview also reveals that Lee Han Shin and Yang Bok Gyu have known each other for some time.

After being granted parole, Yang Bok Gyu finds a job at a company. Lee Han Shin begins investigating why someone who received a second chance would consider such an extreme decision and what kind of life ex-convicts lead after parole.

The production team explained, “Because of his background as a former prison guard, Lee Han Shin is a character who deeply understands the stories of those released on parole. This makes our drama’s focus on parole unique and compelling.” They added, “This episode will explore not only the lives of parolees but also various parole systems and the power struggles of those trying to exploit them. We hope viewers look forward to a rich and engaging episode 5 of ‘Parole Examiner Lee.’”
