With the drama nearing its conclusion, here’s a look at the dynamic evolution of their relationship:
Warning: spoilers ahead!
Cha Jeong Woo and Lee Min Hyeong’s cold first meeting
On the day a dating violence incident occurred, Cha Jeong Woo shut down Lee Min Hyeong’s question about whether he had seen the victim Kim Da Hee (Park Seung Yeon). “I didn’t see anything,” he replied coldly. When Min Hyeong asked for an expert opinion on the victim’s injuries, Jeong Woo firmly responded, “Bring a warrant. I don’t disclose patient information without one.” He also refused to provide the surgery records of an internet cafe employee who had been mistakenly identified as the suspect, saying, “I can’t give that.” When Min Hyeong tried to ask for Jeong Woo’s opinion, Jeong Woo bluntly replied, “Is my opinion that important?” The clash between Jeong Woo’s cold demeanor and Min Hyeong’s positive attitude made their first meeting uncomfortable.
Lee Min Hyeong’s cute chocolate flirting
Cha Jeong Woo thanked Lee Min Hyeong, who came to collect the surgery records of acid attack victim Jeong Hee Young (Lee Hwa Kyum), for helping him, but Min Hyeong brushed it off, saying she was just doing her job. Min Hyeong then handed Jeong Woo a piece of chocolate, saying, “The scars on her face are one thing, but didn’t you also help heal her heart?” as she slipped it into Jeong Woo’s pocket, a gesture that seemed to offer encouragement. Later, Jeong Woo provided information from his treatment of the victim, while Min Hyeong became more involved in the investigation, driving the case forward in an exciting and dynamic way.
Cha Jeong Woo’s cold demeanor after learning of Lee Min Hyeong and Lee Jin Seok’s connection
The appearance of Lee Jin Seok (Yoon Jung Il), who followed and filmed Cha Jeong Woo while keeping tabs on him, quickly shifted the direction of the story. Jin Seok is currently the prime suspect in the death of Nam Gi Taek (Park Wan Kyu), the attempted murder of Nam Hyo Ju (Choi Jung Un), and the death of Jung Woo’s ex-girlfriend, Yoon Hye Jin (Ha Young), from seven years ago. Shockingly, Jeong Woo learns that Jin Seok is Min Hyeong’s older brother. This revelation has further distanced the two, and it remains to be seen how their strained relationship will affect the investigation in future episodes.
The next episode of “Face Me” airs on December 4 at 9:50 p.m. KST.
