Upcoming film “Harbin” has unveiled a new teaser video ahead of its premiere!
Set in 1909, “Harbin” is a historical spy thriller about resistance fighters aiming to end the Japanese occupation of Korea.
In the newly released teaser, the cast reflects on portraying historical figures and the challenges of authentically depicting pivotal moments in history.
Hyun Bin, who plays the iconic figure Ahn Jung Geun, recalls his initial reaction when cast for the role by saying, “I was scared. Why did they give the script to me?” However, he goes on to share his dedication to interpreting the character, stating, “[I asked myself], why did this person continue to move forward, step by step, through such a difficult process?”
He also expresses his gratitude for the opportunity, remarking, “When I think about how few actors will ever have the chance to portray such an extraordinary person, I realize that it’s a huge blessing and an incredible opportunity.”
Park Jung Min, who plays Woo Deok Soon, describes the character as someone who “once he sets a goal, walks steadfastly along that path.” He adds, “I think I tried to make the character more three-dimensional.”
The teaser also highlights the intense filming process, with the director aiming for a realistic and, at times, brutally raw portrayal of the era. It is revealed that the film includes numerous physical confrontation scenes to emphasize the harsh realities faced by the independence activists.
