THE BOYZ To Keep Group Name After Their New Agency Reaches Agreement With IST On Trademark
It’s official: THE BOYZ will get to keep their group name!
On December 5, after a public dispute between THE BOYZ’s new label ONE HUNDRED and their former agency IST Entertainment over trademark rights, ONE HUNDRED ultimately announced that they had come to an amicable agreement with IST Entertainment over the use of THE BOYZ’s name.
The agency’s full statement is as follows:
Hello, this is ONE HUNDRED.
Today (December 5), through a meeting with IST Entertainment, we amicably came to a mutual agreement about the use of the “THE BOYZ” trademark and three major points of discussion.
After resolving our past misunderstandings and opening up in an honest conversation, our company and IST Entertainment came to an agreement that can make everyone happy while prioritizing the members of THE BOYZ and their fans, The B.
We would also like to sincerely thank IST Entertainment, who came to this discussion with an open mind.
We feel sorry for having even briefly caused discomfort to THE BOYZ, who are preparing for a fresh start, and their fans, The B. ONE HUNDRED will do our utmost to actively support THE BOYZ so that they can maintain and improve the talents they have built as artists up until now.
We would like to thank The B and the IST Entertainment family, who have walked THE BOYZ’s path together with them for the past seven years, and we ask for your continued interest and loving support in the future as well.
Thank you.
