Go Hyun Jung And Lee Jin Woo Navigate A Complex Mother-Son Bond In Upcoming Drama “Namib”

ENA’s upcoming drama “Namib” has offered a sneak peek into the complicated relationship between Go Hyun Jung and Lee Jin Woo!

“Namib” depicts the meeting of former entertainment agency CEO Kang Soo Hyun (Go Hyun Jung) and longtime trainee Yoo Jin Woo (Ryeoun), who gets kicked out of his agency, as they each head toward their own goals. Lee Jin Woo takes on the role of Shim Jin Woo, a classmate of Yoo Jin Woo who develops hearing loss later in life.

In the drama, Kang Soo Hyun is determined to take responsibility for her son Shim Jin Woo’s future after he is hurt by her mistake. However, Shim Jin Woo finds her efforts overwhelming. Despite this, he keeps his feelings to himself to avoid causing her pain. This complicated dynamic creates a mother-son relationship that feels both close and distant, leaving viewers eager to see how their story unfolds.

The newly released poster reflects the strained relationship between mother and son, Kang Soo Hyun and Shim Jin Woo. In the image, Kang Soo Hyun gently embraces her son’s shoulder and leans close to his ear, where he wears a hearing aid. She gazes at him with a tender facial expression as she whispers, “Believe in me. I will take responsibility for your life,” highlighting her deep maternal love for her son living in a world of silence.

Despite Kang Soo Hyun’s determination, Shim Jin Woo remains indifferent. It is unclear how he will respond to his mother’s promise to take responsibility for his future. While their approaches differ, the story of this mother and son, both caring for each other in their own way, is drawing attention.

“Namib” will premiere on December 23 at 10 p.m. KST. Stay tuned!
