ONE HUNDRED Threatens Legal Action To Protect Its Artists
ONE HUNDRED has issued a stern warning against malicious posts and false rumors about its artists.
On December 14, ONE HUNDRED released a statement threatening to take legal action against future attacks on its artists, in addition to providing an update on recent cases in which they had already pressed charges.
The agency’s full statement is as follows:
Hello, this is ONE HUNDRED.
First, we would like to thank the fans who give lots of love and support to the artists under the labels affiliated with ONE HUNDRED.
Up until now, we have been filing lawsuits against those who write malicious posts and comments about our artists, and we are letting you know that after police investigations using IP address tracking and the collection of evidence by specialized agencies, the suspects’ cases have been forwarded to the prosecution.
We take very seriously all acts that defame our artists’ character, such asmalicious slander, the spreading of falsehoods, and personal attacks. Therefore, we will continue to regularly monitor and take legal action against such posts and comments.
These strict measures will apply not only to individuals who post malicious comments, but also illegal viral marketing businesses, agencies, associations, or organizations that spread falsehoods about our artists or defame their character. For the sake of the improvement of the K-pop and entertainment industries, we are clearly informing you that we will continue to take strong action against suspects who commit such wrongdoings in the future, just as we are now, without any settlements or leniency.
We will continue to make the protection of our artists our top priority so that our artists can promote healthily, and ONE HUNDRED will become a label that provides unsparing and active support so that we can match the interest and love of all the fans.
Thank you.
