Uhm Ji Won And Ahn Jae Wook Confirmed for New Weekend Drama
Uhm Ji Won and Ahn Jae Wook will star together in the upcoming drama “Take Care of the 5 Eagle Brothers” (literal title).
“Take Care of the 5 Eagle Brothers” tells the story of the five brothers of the traditional brewery Eagle Brewery, which has been making traditional liquor for three generations, and their eldest sister-in-law, who suddenly becomes the head of the family after her husband’s unexpected death just ten days into their marriage. Yoon Bak is currently in talks to to play the role of Oh Beom Soo, the fourth son of the Eagle Brewery family.
Uhm Ji Won will play Ma Kwang Sook, a cheerful and outspoken post office clerk whose life changes overnight when she becomes a widow. Kwang Sook marries Oh Jang Soo, the owner of Eagle Brewery, at the age of 45. However, her life changes drastically when her husband dies in an accident shortly after their wedding. She takes over the brewery and becomes the head of the household, looking after her four brothers-in-law.
Ahn Jae Wook will take on the role of Han Dong Seok, the wealthy chairman of LX Hotel. Dong Seok is a prickly, arrogant, and principled man who lost his wife 15 years ago and has grown accustomed to living alone. His life takes an unexpected turn when he becomes entangled with Ma Kwang Sook.
The production team shared, “This drama will showcase the exceptional acting talents of Uhm Ji Won and Ahn Jae Wook. Their dynamic chemistry will deliver both laughter and emotional depth, so please show lots of anticipation.”
“Take Care of the 5 Eagle Brothers” is set to premiere in February 2025.
