An individual who had been posting malicious comments about actress Shin Se Kyung has been arrested.
On December 20, Shin Se Kyung’s agency The Present Company released an official statement announcing that the perpetrator, who has been persistently engaging in cyber harassment against actress Shin Se Kyung, was recently apprehended through legal procedures.

We would like to inform you that the perpetrator who has been persistently engaging in cyber harassment against actress Shin Se Kyung has been apprehended through legal procedures.
The perpetrator has, for several years, continuously engaged in acts of intimidation, malicious slander, the circulation of false information, and insulting behavior not only toward the actress but also her fans, family, and those around her across various online platforms. These actions have caused severe psychological distress to the victims, and legal proceedings against the perpetrator are currently underway.
To resolve this matter, The Present Company has worked with the law firm Ascendant Yoolbon, operating a dedicated team for several months to collect evidence and utilize every possible legal measure. In particular, the valuable reports from fans have been a tremendous help in this process.
Our company will continue to take all necessary legal measures to protect the rights and interests of our artists and staff. We also make it clear that we will respond firmly and without exception to any similar incidents in the future.
