Song Hye Kyo Is A Resolute Nun Risking Everything To Save A Possessed Boy In New Film "Dark Nuns"
Upcoming occult film “Dark Nuns” has dropped new stills of Song Hye Kyo in character!
The second installment and the female version of Kang Dong Won’s hit 2015 film “The Priests,” “Dark Nuns” tells the story of nuns who perform exorcisms to save a young boy possessed by a powerful evil spirit.
Song Hye Kyo will star as Sister Junia, a brave and determined nun who will stop at nothing to save the possessed boy Hee Joon. With a stoic and cold exterior masking her earnest sincerity, Song Hye Kyo delivers a nuanced performance, bringing to life a character unlike any she has portrayed before.
Heightening the intrigue, she forges an unlikely bond and teams up with Sister Michaela (Jeon Yeo Been). Together, they embark on a perilous journey, risking everything in their mission to save the boy.
Director Kwon Hyuk Jae remarked, “Every word, expression, and glance from Song Hye Kyo as Sister Junia becomes a striking visual element in the film.” Song Hye Kyo also commented on being totally immersed in the role, “I lived as Sister Junia for three months, thinking only of the character.”
“Dark Nuns” will hit theaters on January 24, 2025.
