Joo Jong Hyuk Is A Bright Assistant Director Facing Uncertain Future In New Office Comedy Drama "Unmasked"
The Disney+ original series “Unmasked” has offered a sneak peek of Joo Jong Hyuk’s character!
“Unmasked” is an office comedy drama set against the backdrop of Korea’s first Investigative Journalism Bureau at a broadcasting company, where a group of reporters uses their cameras to expose bad people. The cast includes Kim Hye Soo, Jung Sung Il, and Joo Jong Hyuk.
Joo Jong Hyuk stars as Kang Ki Ho, a third-year assistant director for an investigative reporting program.
Positive and resilient, Kang Ki Ho takes pride in his work and approaches investigative journalism with passion driven by his deep trust and respect for his team leader Oh So Ryong (Kim Hye Soo). Though warm-hearted and emotional, his charm and youthful energy as the youngest of the team make him the heart of the group.
While Kang Ki Ho is full of passion, he faces the uncertainty of a contract position and the harsh realities of his situation, leading to moments of frustration and compromise that viewers will find relatable.
Joo Jong Hyuk explained how he brings to life a character whose enthusiasm is high, but whose reality falls short, saying, “I tried to balance Kang Ki Ho’s cheerful charm with his serious approach to work.”
“Unmasked” is set to premiere on January 15, 2025. Stay tuned!
