Rosé's "APT." Breaks PSY's 12-Year Record For Fastest K-Pop MV To Hit 700 Million Views
BLACKPINK’s Rosé continues to make YouTube history with her smash hit “APT.”!
On December 28 at around 2 a.m. KST, Rosé and Bruno Mars’ music video for their collab single “APT.” surpassed 700 million views on YouTube. The song was originally released on October 18 at 1 p.m. KST, meaning that it took the video approximately 70 days and 13 hours to reach the milestone.
With this achievement, Rosé has broken PSY’s record for the fastest K-pop music video ever to hit 700 million views. (The previous record of 118 days, which was set by PSY’s iconic 2012 hit “Gangnam Style,” remained unbeaten for over 12 years.)
“APT.” is also the fourth fastest music video ever to reach the milestone on YouTube, bested only by Adele’s “Hello,” Nicky Jam and J. Balvin’s “X (EQUIS),” and DJ Snake’s “Taki Taki” featuring Selena Gomez, Ozuna, and Cardi B.
Congratulations to Rosé on her exciting new record!
