Watch: Hwang Minhyun, Han Ji Eun, Cha Woo Min, And More Introduce Their Roles At Script Reading For “Study Group”

TVING’s upcoming drama “Study Group” has offered fans an exciting sneak peek into its first script reading session!

Based on the popular webtoon of the same name, “Study Group” is a high school action-comedy about Yoon Ga Min (Hwang Minhyun), a student who dreams of excelling academically but is only gifted in fighting. At a high school notorious for being one of the worst in the world, he forms a study group and dives into the ruthless world of college entrance exams.

During the script reading, Hwang Minhyun delivers key lines from his character, such as, “It may be hard to believe, but I’m bad at studying,” and “I definitely understood this last night—why can’t I grasp it now?”

He then introduces his character Yoon Ga Min, saying, “He is someone who struggles with studying but desperately wants to improve and has a fiery passion for academics. He may look like a model student, but is surprisingly skilled in fighting. At Yusung Technical High School, he gathers like-minded students and creates a study group.”

Han Ji Eun stars as Lee Han Kyung, a passionate temporary teacher with a secret at Yusung Technical High School. Describing her character, she shares, “Han Kyung wholeheartedly supports Ga Min’s vision of creating a study group and the two join forces to make it happen.”

Cha Woo Min portrays Pi Han Wool, the heir to YB Group and the dominant force at Yusung Technical High School. He teases his villainous role, saying, “At Yusung Technical High School, Han Wool wields all the power.” As a fan of the original webtoon, Cha Woo Min adds, “It’s fascinating how all the cast members feel like they’ve stepped right out of the comic.”
