Yoo Yeon Seok Suspects Choo Sang Mi’s Involvement In His Wife’s Disappearance In “When The Phone Rings”
MBC’s “When the Phone Rings” has dropped new stills from its upcoming episode!
Based on a popular web novel, MBC’s “When the Phone Rings” tells the story of Baek Sa Eon (Yoo Yeon Seok) and Hong Hee Joo (Chae Soo Bin), a couple that married for convenience—and the romance that blossoms between them after a threatening phone call.

In previous episodes, Sa Eon and Hee Joo faced numerous trials, including threats from Hee Joo’s kidnapper (Park Jae Yoon) and betrayal by Park Do Jae (Choi Woo Jin). Despite these challenges, their love remained unwavering.
During the memorial for Baek Jang Ho’s (Jung Dong Hwan’s ) first death anniversary, Hee Joo was abducted once more. To protect Sa Eon, she deliberately caused a car accident, leaving viewers stunned.
Sa Eon visited the site of Hee Joo’s accident and publicly revealed her identity, determined to use every means necessary to find her. His relentlessly tries to uncover her whereabouts, despite the toll on his health.
Hong In Ah (Han Jae Yi), Baek Eui Yong (Yoo Sung Joo), Hong Il Kyung (Choi Kwang Il), and Kim Yeon Hee (Oh Hyun Kyung) also gather at the accident site.
Yeon Hee appears devastated by her daughter’s disappearance, while Il Kyung, overcome with anger, grabs Eui Yong by the collar. As Sa Eon observes the grieving family, he grows increasingly suspicious of his mother, Shim Kyu Jin (Choo Sang Mi), who is notably absent from the scene.
Despite discovering multiple clues hinting at Hee Joo’s death, Sa Eon refuses to give up and continues to assess the situation with a calm and logical mind.
The last set of photos captures an intense confrontation between Sa Eon and Kyu Jin in a police interrogation room. Viewers are left wondering why Kyu Jin is under investigation and what final card Sa Eon will play in his desperate bid to find Hee Joo.
The next episode of “When the Phone Rings” will air on January 3 at 9:50 p.m. KST!
