Won Ji An Joins Park Seo Joon In Talks For New Rom-Com Drama
“Squid Game 2” star Won Ji An may be appearing in a new drama alongside Park Seo Joon!
On January 3, a media outlet reported that Won Ji An, who recently impressed viewers with her portrayal of Sae Mi in “Squid Game 2,” is in talks to star in the new drama “Waiting for Gyeongdo” (literal title).
In response to the report, Won Ji An’s agency Hiin Entertainment shared, “‘Waiting for Gyeongdo’ is a project that Won Ji An is currently reviewing her casting offer for.”
“Waiting for Gyeongdo” is a new rom-com drama about former lovers Lee Gyeong Do and Seo Ji Woo, who first met and fell in love at the age of twenty. They unexpectedly cross paths again at an unforeseen moment in their lives, leading to a series of events filled with romance and humor.
The drama will be directed by Lim Hyun Wook, known for his work on “King the Land,” “Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency,” and “Life,” and written by Yoo Young Ah, who has previously penned “Thirty-Nine,” “Divorce Attorney Shin,” and more. Previously in July, Park Seo Joon was revealed to be in talks to play the male lead character Lee Gyeong Do.
“Waiting for Gyeongdo” is set to begin production as soon as the casting process is finalized and is currently in discussions to air on JTBC. Stay tuned for more updates!
