Is the jig up for Kim Ji Eun on “Check in Hanyang”?

Set in the Joseon era, “Check in Hanyang” is a new romance drama about four young people who become “interns” at Yongcheonru, the grandest inn in all of Joseon. Bae In Hyuk stars as Lee Eun Ho, a prince who is secretly hiding his identity, while Kim Ji Eun plays Hong Deok Soo, a woman who disguises herself as a man to join Yongcheonru.

Jung Gun Joo plays the role of Cheon Jun Hwa, the heir to Yongcheonru, and DKZ’s Jaechan plays Go Soo Ra, an upstanding but ambitious young man who wants to restore his family’s lost honor.

On the previous episode of “Check in Hanyang,” Hong Deok Soo fell victim to the scheming of Kim Myung Ho, who convinced her to go to Jakyakjae without realizing that it was forbidden for men to enter. In order to escape unscathed, she dressed up as a woman and tried to leave quietly—but she was seen by not only Lee Eun Ho, Cheon Jun Hwa, and Go Soo Ra, but also Seol Mae Hwa (Kim Min Jung) and Cheon Bang Joo (Kim Eui Sung).

In newly released stills from the drama’s next episode, while trying to leave Jakyakjae, Hong Deok Soo inadvertently runs into the attendant of the lecherous guest who forbids men to wait on him. In the end, it winds up being decided that she will be presented to the lecherous guest as a special “gift.”

Lee Eun Ho, Cheon Jun Hwa, and Go Soo Ra, who watched the entire situation unfold while peeking over the wall, are horrified to hear that Hong Deok Soo will be offered to the perverted guest. As shock, fury, and concern flit across their faces, the three interns become determined to save their friend no matter what.

The final photo captures Lee Eun Ho right outside the guesthouse, raising the question of whether he will be able to rescue Hong Deok Soo from the lecherous guest inside.
