tvN’s highly-anticipated space romance drama “When the Stars Gossip” kicks off tonight!

“When the Stars Gossip” will tell the unlikely love story of Commander Eve Kim (Gong Hyo Jin), who works at a zero-gravity space station, and Gong Ryong (Lee Min Ho), a tourist at the space station who has arrived with a secret mission.

With the drama’s first episode airing tonight, here are three reasons to get excited for the long-awaited premiere:

1. A star-studded cast and an exciting writer-director reunion

“When the Stars Gossip” boasts a strong cast that includes Lee Min Ho, Gong Hyo Jin, Oh Jung Se, Han Ji Eun, Kim Joo Hun, Lee El, Lee Cho Hee, Heo Nam Jun, Lee Hyun Kyun, and Park Ye Young.

As Korea’s first-ever “space office drama,” “When the Stars Gossip” will focus on the everyday lives of the astronauts who live and work at the space station. In contrast to past action or sci-fi series set in space, “When the Stars Gossip” centers on the routines of the space station’s inhabitants and the daily struggles they face.

3. The fateful encounter between a commander and a tourist

In the drama, Lee Min Ho’s character Gong Ryong is a doctor who is engaged to the heiress of South Korea’s biggest conglomerate. Ahead of his wedding, he pays a hefty sum to travel to the space station as a tourist—and commander Eve Kim is none too pleased about a tourist sightseeing at her place of work. How will her relationship with this unwelcome visitor evolve as they spend more time together in space?
